As a native of Harbin,which is a northeast and cool city of China,I like the ice and snow very much,so in this journal I would like to introduce some distinctive attractions of Harbin.In Harbin,every Jan.5th is a native festival called the ice and snow festival,students can often have a day off school,which is what I miss a lot today.

From all the attractions,I like the ice lanterns most.There is a traditional ice lantern show held every year in Zhaolin Park.Every winter,the park is filled with exotic castles,bridges,flowers,and wild animals-all made of ice.It is also adorned with thousands of ice lanterns,which produce a dazzling display of lights.These fantasy products have high value of viewing and art achievement.With the technology’s help,theses ice works are very glassy and magnificent.If you stand in the park,you will feel like you are like Alice in the wonderland,deeply absorbed in.There are also many interesting activities such as the ice slide,it is so cool to slide from the top to the bottom.Another major attractions is the snow sculpture fair,which is held at Sun Island Park,on the north bank of the Songhua River.The fair presents an impressive display of snow artworks.All the sculptures are made of snow and are made into figures ,plants,animals and so on,they are so vivid that they look like they are alive and stand in front of you.The park is a world of white snow,there are not like the ice lanterns with different colors which shine brightly in the dark night,but the pure white can bring you peace and calm while enjoying.

There is another attraction named the ice and snow world,it is also on the north bank of the Songhua River.It is held from Christmas to the next March every year,up to now,it has been held successfully for 15years.It is such a large park that covers about 750000 square meters.It contains a set of ice and snow animation performances, acrobatics on ice, ice sculpture exhibition project as.It’s an elegant fusion of science, technology, art and culture. When night falls, the lights on the ice and snow world looks magnificent and  beautiful. The ice snow great world every year attracts millions of tourists from home and abroad .

A s we have seen,the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is a world-class event and spectacular attractions.I hope you will be able one day to attend the festival.Just wrap up warm,and you will have a magical experience.
