My experience of learning English

English, which is one of the most popular languages in the world, has gotten close to my life for ten years. It is a delight for me, a Chinese girl, to make friends with a foreign language.

I seldom practiced my oral English when young, the reason of which is the limited time of the class and the poor equipment. At first I only thought it fun to learn a language which is different from ours. Writing letters was a joy in my childhood. As beginners, we students learnt how to write letters correctly and normally. Different letters just liked little angels who helped me fall in love with English.

As time goes on, I learnt that having a good command of a foreign language is a key to the colorful world outside. At the same time, I had finally reaped the benefits of all of my hard work. Not only did learning another language teach me the value of commitment, but it also gave me insights into another culture. Maybe it is frustrating at times, but it is well worth the effort. I believe where there is a will, there is a way.
